The first step in building your mechanical keyboard is to choose the parts you need. The main components you will need are a PCB, switches, keycaps, stabilizers, and a case. You will also need tools such as a soldering iron, solder, and a screwdriver. This all depends for what size you're going for. For example a 65 percent keyboard, not really sure what all these sizes mean? Check this blog where i explain the 10 most used keyboard sizes

Step 2: Prepare Your PCB

Before you can start assembling your keyboard, you need to prepare your PCB. This involves soldering the diodes, resistors, and microcontroller onto the board. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and double-check your work to avoid any mistakes.

Step 3: Install Your Switches

Once your PCB is ready, it's time to install your switches. Start by placing your switches into the holes on the PCB. Make sure they are aligned correctly and are flush with the board. Then, if you choose a non hotswappable keyboard, solder each switch onto the PCB carefully. Otherwise, click

Step 4: Install Your Stabilizers

Stabilizers are used to keep the larger keys on your keyboard stable and level. Install the stabilizers onto the PCB by aligning them with the designated holes and pressing them in. Once they are in place, solder them onto the board.

Step 5: Attach Your Keycaps

Once your switches and stabilizers are installed, it's time to attach your keycaps. Start by placing the keycaps onto the switches, ensuring they are aligned correctly. Gently push down on each keycap until it clicks into place.

Step 6: Install Your Case

The final step is to install your case. Start by placing the PCB into the case, making sure it is aligned correctly. Screw the PCB into the case using the provided screws. Then, snap the case onto the bottom of the keyboard and screw it into place.
